Smart Water Bottles! Wifi Connected Refrigerators! Smart Floss Dispenser! Everything seems to be getting a chip and a wifi connection these days as part of what is being dubbed the "Internet of Things." In this presentation, Michael Faber and Sally Hall will discuss what exactly that means, why it's powerful and important (and also why it's ridiculous sometimes), and demo a few cool projects that show off the power of this technology. Learn IT @ Lunch is designed to be an opportunity to learn about technology in a relaxed lunch environment. Each session includes a presentation followed by Q & A from noon-1:00. An optional demo will be held from 1-1:30. No pre-registration is required. Seating is available on a first come, first served basis. NOTE: Lunch is not provided. Feel free to bring a brown bag lunch.
