Piano Honors Concert

Works by American composers performed by advanced students in the Department of Music. Jonathan Eisenberg, Tannya Cai, Patrick Cardel, Lily Chaw, Sharon Fang, Ilhan Gokhan, Eric Ho, Aaron Hong, Daniel McKee, Ying Ni, Andreas Santos, Max Westerkam, and Benjamin Xing. The repertoire- all works by American composers- will include: Charles Ives: Concord Sonata (selected movements); Samuel Barber: Piano Sonata (selected movements); as well as works by George Gershwin, John Cage, Stephen Jaffe and Scott Joplin. Stephen Jaffe is Mary D. B. T. and James H. Semans Professor of Music Composition at Duke.
