Friday, March 03, 2017
4:30 pm - 6:00 pm
NAMI Duke and NAMI Durham

NAMI at Duke wants to host a forum for people to share their stories and experiences with mental health and to provide a space where the issues of mental health and mental illness are de-stigmatized. Whether you've personally experienced mental illness or have had family or friends affected by it, we invite you to speak at our event and help us bring mental health out from the shadows into the open. Help us get rid of the stigma that surrounds mental illness and make conversations about mental health easier. NAMI Durham will also be visiting and members from their group will discuss some ways to recognize mental illness symptoms and ways to support those with mental illness. Light refreshments will be served!

If you're interested in sharing a story, please submit your story via this link: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSffikpLot_M4U_OFj-x_K-J84SDSeufWVr6M88v7_u1B06dsQ/viewform?c=0&w=1
You can choose to stay anonymous and have a NAMI member read your story, or you can choose to read your own story.

We also invite anyone who would like to perform (in any artistic capacity related to mental health) to come by.

**CAPS members will be present in case people want to schedule appointments.**

We hope to see many of you there for a heartfelt, supportive, and open discussion about mental health, mental illness, and community!
