Cuban Rueda de Casino Master Class

(Open to members of the community, if registered below.) Steven Messina is from Boston where he grew up learning folkloric and popular dances from different cultures in the area. During his time spent in the Miami area, he focused on the dances of Cuba including popular dances of son and casino as well as folkloric dances of the Afro-Cuban cultures such as rumba and orisha dance. This casual interest has grown into a life's pursuit of learning and sharing these dances in their proper cultural context with those in the surround community. He currently teaches throughout the North Carolina area.
