The Bass Connections-Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRRJ) research team is pleased to host a special screening of the documentary film The Cost of Opportunity, directed by Dudu de Morro Agudo and Stephanie Reist. The 30-minute film emerges out of the collaborative research experience between Duke and UFRRJ undergraduates, graduate students, and faculty in June 2016.

The screening is part of The Cost of Opportunity Conference on higher education and social mobility in Brazil, and will take place on Monday, March 27, at the John Hope Franklin Humanities Institute (Ahmadieh Family Lecture Hall, Smith Warehouse, Bay 4). A discussion of the film will follow.

The screening is free and open to the public, but attendees are encouraged to arrive early as seating is limited.
