Putting the Person at the Center of Precision Medicine

Mr. O'Leary works to foster innovation within Genetic Alliance and the community at large through diverse partnerships. His research has focused on mechanisms within and between traditional healthcare systems that help individuals navigate services and support leading up to and after the point of diagnosis. During his tenure, he has worked with national public health systems, disease-specific organizations, and community groups to improve access to genetic services and support, engage consumers in national policy-setting, and institute legislation that protects the public from discrimination. He has experience relevant to the promotion of responsible research and services that meet the needs of patients and the creation of technology solutions to empower individuals, families, and communities. Mr. O'Leary holds a B.S in Cellular and Molecular Genetics and an M.B.A. in Business Administration.

The Center for Applied Genomics and Precision Medicine weekly forum is open to students, faculty, and staff across the Duke University campus and is held on Thursdays, 12pm - 1pm.
