North Carolina International South Asian Film Festival (NCISAFF) - DAY TWO (FINAL DAY): 12:30pm-3pm: NCISAFF Short Features (6 Short Films): "Singhing Bee" (Hindi/Punjabi/English) Made in North Carolina; "Lost Dreams" (English) Made in California; "Table for Three" (English) Made in Washington DC; "Enthenthadooram" ("Distance Dreams") Telugu Movie (with English Subtitles) Made in India; "Samosa" (English/Hindi) Made in New York City; "To Be Free" (English) Made in North Carolina // 3:30pm-5:30pm: Feature Film: "As the River Flows" (Made in India) // 7pm-10pm: Closing Night Film: "Hair India" followed by Discussion. The journey of a young Indian woman's hair, donated to the Temple to be then converted into exquisite hair extensions in Italy. This same hair will then return to India to satisfy the whim of a successful career woman in Bombay. A story of the cult of beauty in the era of globalization. An original view of today's India with its contradictions. A kaleidoscope of modernity, economic expansion and ancient traditions.
