In this talk artist and photographer Caitlin Margaret Kelly, a graduate student in the Master of Fine Arts in Experimental and Documentary Arts program, will discuss her social documentary work representing and visualizing others and the ethics of keeping the relationship complicated through three projects: "Data", "The Icon Industry: The Visual Rhetoric of Human Rights" (originally exhibited at the Kenan Institute for Ethics, November 2013) and her upcoming thesis exhibition, "Please Call Me By My True Names", a series of photographs and audio portraits of women living with HIV.
