Gender in Islam Student Panel: Safe Spaces for Women

Come hear your female Muslim peers speak about creating and navigating spaces in their Muslim communities! We strive for a productive and thoughtful conversation interspersed with and guided by poignant monologues that speak to the varied experiences of the backgrounds of our panelists. We hope to discuss topics such as women-friendly (or unfriendly) mosques, community leadership, obstacles for participation, and perceived gender roles. Let's showcase the genuine triumphs and struggles we face through open and honest conversations and add to a growing conversation of creating more supportive environments for women. We'll be serving hors d'oeuvres and light refreshments.
