International Business Strategy Ph.D. Workshop: The Globalization of Innovation
Cost: All costs covered except for travel to and from Durham. Those joining from a CIBER institution will be granted a $250 stipend to be used toward travel expenses.
Research on global sourcing of innovation has been growing increased attention over the past two decades. The research spans multiple disciplines and lines of research such as innovation studies, national innovation systems, economic geography, international business, strategic management, outsourcing and offshoring of science, technology, engineering and mathematics work, the aspirations of emerging economies to compete in higher value added knowledge creating activities and the organization and management of innovation. Faculty members from five universities will be brought in to speak on these topics and share how they relate to the ever-changing world of international business.
