Ramadan 2014

Ramadan is the most sacred month in the Muslim calendar. During this time, Muslims all over the world abstain from food and drink during the daylight hours. Ramdan is much more than fasting, it is a time to practice self-restraint; a time to cleanse the soul from impurities and refocus one's self on the worship of God. Muslims are breaking the fast with Iftar, a meal served at the sunset after the evening prayer. It is often done in community. We are kindly inviting you to be part of this community gathering and learn more about the blessed month of Ramadan. Join the Center for Muslim Life and Muslim Student Association for Iftars/ the breaking of the fast during Ramadan 2014. Monday through Thursday between June 30-July 24, on sunset, between 8-9pm. Location: CML/ 406 Swift Ave. Please bring your family and friends to experience one of the major events of the Muslim life.
