Join us for the first program in the 2014 "Careers in Government and Public Interest Friday Speaker's Series." Come hear about the career paths and exciting work of lawyers practicing civil rights law, working on policy, and helping with education and community based solutions. The panelists will share their unique perspectives on their work which includes working with a national organization, in a state non-profit, at a law school center, through a post-graduate fellowship and in private practice. Learn about the work and how you too can position yourself to make an impact. The panel includes: Ms. Lisa Grafstein, Disability Rights NC; Ms. Elizabeth Haddix, UNC Center for Civil Rights; and Ms. Caitlin Swain, '12, Advancement Project. Lunch will be provided but please bring your own beverage. Contact Emily Sharples at sharples@law.duke.edu for more information.
