Stefan Link is Assistant Professor of Economic History at Dartmouth College. He gained his Ph.D. from Harvard University in 2012. His main research interests are in the economic history of the 20th century, the intellectual history of capitalism, and American, German, and Soviet history. He is working on a book manuscript on the global spread of Fordism in the era of the World Wars, 1918-1945. The paper is drawn from a chapter of the book manuscript.
