Elizabeth Linnartz, soprano & Deborah Hollis, piano: "Short and Sweet: Songs of Germany, Italy, France, and Argentina"

Elizabeth Linnartz has soloed with Duke Chapel's annual "Messiah," most of the communitychoruses in the Triangle, Triangle Bach Consort, the North Carolina Bach Festival, and OberlinConservatory's Baroque Performance Institute. She presented lecture recitals on Britten's "Holy Sonnetsof John Donne" and Bach's Cantata 140 through Duke Divinity School's Initiatives in Theology and theArts. She holds degrees in music, vocal pedagogy, and vocal performance from Duke and Universityof North Carolina at Greensboro School of Music. She teaches at Duke University and privately in Durham. Deborah Hollis began her career in Chicago where she was pianist for the Chicago Symphony First Chair Series. Since coming to the Triangle, she has worked with many prominent music organizations including Long Leaf Opera Company, Opera Company of North Carolina, Eastern Music Festival, and Mallarme Chamber Players. Deborah is currently pianist and coach for VOICES, the community chorus of Chapel Hill. Hollis holds piano performance degrees from Oberlin Conservatory and the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana, and received her Doctor of Musical Arts in Collaborative Piano from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Previously on faculty at Guilford College and The University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and on staff at Duke University, Dr. Hollis is currently a collaborative pianist and coach at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
