Howard French (journalist, professor, and author) will be the 2014 Duke Africa Initiative Fall Keynote Speaker on Thursday, November 20. French will be discussing his latest book, "China's Second Continent: How a Million Migrants Are Building a New Empire in Africa", which highlights a nuanced look at China's burgeoning presence in Africa.
