Bounded Liberties: Solidarity and Interconnected Struggles

Lila Watson, Aboriginal elder, activist and educator from Queensland, Australia once said:¿If you have come here to help me, you are wasting your time. But if you have come because your liberation is bound up with mine, then let us work together.¿Join us as we challenge the Duke community, especially those engaged in social justice work, to see beyond themselves and the issues they are fighting for to see how our liberty is bound in one another. A diverse panel of Duke and Durham professionals will speak to the spirit of community care and concern in their work in social justice, equity, and coalition building. Dinner will be provided.
