Cancelled: Healing Rage-Two Day Student Retreat

Rage is often a foreign or feared emotion among women. For this reason, rage disguises itself and we miss the more healing message it is attempting to communicate. Women need to understand that rage is fierce clarity a natural resource of unnamed and misused energy. When rage is embraced and explored with kind awareness, the trapped energies of rage are liberated and become an intimate teacher of balance, resiliency, and respect, greatly enhancing our relationship to life. In this work, participants are guided inward to deal with those aspects of themselves that are unloved and dishonored. Through somatic, mindfulness, and emotional wisdom modalities, participants learn how to stop contributing to their own distress and the distress of others, and how to rest and respond to life without being habitually or unconsciously reactive. Meals and materials are included for each participant. Register by sending an email to: womenctr@duke.edu
