All in your head? Responding to Psychological and Physical Pain

What is mental or psychological pain, and how does it relate to physical pain? Why do we often embrace medical treatments for physical pain yet treat psychological pain differently? How do our reactions reflect the way we think about mental and physical illness? In this roundtable discussion, Professor Jennie Hawkins and Professor Warren Kinghorn will consider how our society¿s understanding of mental illness shapes our response to mental pain.
