Duke Divinity School will celebrate its 89th Baccalaureate Service with Edgardo Colón-Emeric, assistant professor of Christian theology at the school, preaching. Divinity School Dean Richard B. Hays selected Colón-Emeric to preach after graduating students made nominations. This 90-minute service of worship includes the traditional ritual of hooding for degree recipients and is open to the public. It will be webcast live on Duke Chapel's YouTube channel and also on the Duke Chapel website. Persons holding priority seating tickets will be seated beginning at 5:30 p.m., followed by general seating at 6:10 p.m. There will be overflow seating in Rooms 0016 and 0014 of the Westbrook Building at the Divinity School. Graduating students should meet before the Baccalaureate Service in Goodson Chapel at 5 p.m. to check-in and prepare for the service.
