Duke Wind Symphony: Performance of Scott Lindroth's new "Eternity's Sunrise"

Program includes "Eternity's Sunrise," Scott Lindroth's newest work for Wind Ensemble, as well as Michael Markowski's "Joyride," Roshanne Etezady's "Against the Rain," John Mackey's "Hymn to a Blue Hour," Steven Bryant's "Dusk," and David Maslanka's "Give us this Day." Composer Scott Lindroth is Vice Provost for the Arts and Professor of Music at Duke University. He has been on the faculty at Duke since 1990, having earned degrees in music composition from the Eastman School of Music (BM 1980) and the Yale School of Music (DMA 1991). His work as a composer has centered on instrumental and vocal media, including compositions for the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the New York Philharmonic, the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Netherlands Wind Ensemble, and the Ciompi Quartet. He has also composed music for dance, theater, and video. Verena Mösenbichler-Bryant is director of the Duke Wind Symphony.
