Event Image
Tuesday, September 15, 2015
5:30 pm - 6:30 pm
Viviana Martinez-Bianchi, MD, program director of the Duke Family Medicine Residency Program

In a hands-on session, health professions educators will learn the importance of the population health framework and utilize population health competencies to solve a clinical problem. Social determinants outside the realm of clinical care account for 80 percent of health outcomes. While excellent clinical skills and knowledge are the foundation of health professions education, there is a revolution underway that will shift the expected competencies of all practicing clinicians. This session is geared toward health professions educators, those who develop and/or deliver health professions content, and those interested in population health and health system innovation.
