6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
Army War College Fellows

Take advantage of the unique opportunity to learn from senior ranking military officers who have a unique perspective on both military life and strategic decision making. This event seeks to make the military more accessible to the average civilian who is interested in learning about it, influencing policy affecting it, or actually joining it. The goal for the discussion is to serve as an opportunity to learn about the military from military officers, including clarifying myths, the discussion of the military instrument in global strategy, and different ways to get involved professionally in the civil-military relations field. We want students to know that there are resources for them here at Duke, in AGS, the Military Fellows, and ROTC. It is emphasized that no prior military knowledge is expected and any/all questions are encouraged.

Come listen to 4 members of the CTPP Fellows answer questions on life in the military, their experiences abroad and their thoughts on the role of the military in public policy. Light hors d'oeuvres provided.

The Counterterrorism and Public Policy Fellowship is designed to provide professionals in the national security and counterterrorism fields with an intensive educational experience that will enhance their understanding of the American policymaking process and empower them to operate more effectively at higher level leadership and staff positions.
