On April 22nd and 23rd, 2016, the Duke University School of Nursing will host its sixth annual conference focusing on the pursuit of radical transformation in nursing education. The particular focus for this year¿s conference is Active Learning and Engaging Teaching.

The conference will kick off on the morning of April 22th with an insightful keynote presentation by Dr. Richard Felder, Hoechst Celanese Professor Emeritus of Chemical Engineering at North Carolina State University. He regularly presents workshops on effective college teaching around the world, is widely published, and has received awards for teaching and pedagogical scholarship.

The Radical Transformation conference will continue on April 22th and the morning of April 23th with numerous concurrent sessions and poster presentations where attendees will have the opportunity to learn from and dialogue with nurse educators who are implementing innovative teaching and evaluation methods and/or who have conducted research related to teaching and learning. The link to the Call for Abstracts for podium or electronic poster presentations is provided below, and nurse educators from all types of programs are encouraged to respond to it.

On the afternoon of April 23th, individuals will have the opportunity to participate in an optional, 3-hour post-conference workshop that promises to be engaging and fun!
