Dr. Dorceta E. Taylor's 2nd Talk: "Food Access, Social Inequality, and Urban Environmental Sustainabilty."

This talk will examine the theoretical framing of food insecurity and the assumptions made by studies of food access. It will examine the shortcomings and gaps in the conceptualization of studies and challenges that exist in studying food access. Dr. Taylor will use case studies from Michigan to illustrate the complexities of the urban food landscape and suggest approaches to studying these more systematically.
