The keynote address will be delivered by Dr. Bruce Alberts, the Chancellor's Leadership Chair in Biochemistry and Biophysics for Science and Education at UCSF. Dr. Alberts was also the recipient of the National Medal of Science in 2014, past president of the National Academy of Sciences (1993-2005), former Editor-in-Chief of Science (2008-2013), and one of the original authors of The Molecular Biology of the Cell. We welcome all Duke faculty, students, staff, and non-Duke affiliates to attend. Immediately following the seminar, light refreshments will be served at a "meet and greet" reception from 5-6pm in the Atrium directly outside the Great Hall. This event is hosted by the Office of Biomedical Graduate Diversity.
