SUBSCRIPTION TICKETS ARE ON SALE THRU JUNE 14, 2016! SINGLE TICKETS ON SALE JUNE 1, 2016. The 2016 Ciompi Quartet Presents summer chamber music series celebrates its fifth season in the beautiful Duke Gardens Kirby Horton Hall. These concerts consistently sell-out and the audience continues to delight in the intimate and relaxed setting that has come to define this summer series. The opportunity to hear the Quartet members share their individual curatorial insights and programming inspirations, adds a joyful excitement to each concert evening. We invite you to join us for the 2016 Ciompi Quartet Presents, which continues to be one of the must-see chamber music events of the summer.

On July 21 Eric Pritchard presents Transfigured Bach?, featuring Bach's Sonatas for Violin and Keyboard, in a (possibly) new arrangement for two violins and continuo. In addition to the performance, there will be short presentation examining the question of which instrumentation was Bach's original intention for these works. Pritchard (baroque violin) is joined by Katie Lansdale also on baroque violin, and Barbara Krumdieck (baroque cello).
