1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
2016 North Carolina Family Impact Seminar

This Family Impact Seminar will present information on recent federal efforts to support the use of preventative services in child welfare, give national examples of evidence-based practices that help families struggling with substance abuse, and provide information on the Prevention and Family Recovery Program in Robeson County, N.C., which partners Family Drug Treatments Court with evidence-based practices and child development services.

This seminar is convened by the Policy Bridge at the Sanford School of Public Policy at Duke University. The Policy Bridge's aim is to connect the worlds of research and policy. Traffic flows both ways, getting scholarly research into the hands of policymakers when and how they need it and transmitting the policy community's real-world knowledge to scholars to inform and strengthen research.
