Event Image
Wednesday, September 21, 2016
11:45 am - 1:30 pm

Data visualization is an increasingly important skill for graduate students in all disciplines. Students are expected to summarize and present their research using visuals that are compelling, authoritative, and scientifically valid. These skills, however, are seldom taught as part of a standard course sequence. This workshop will focus on a few basic design principles than can help you improve your visualizations, regardless of what software(s) you use. We will also introduce you to the various services offered by the Department of Data and Visualization Services, so that you know where you can go for help in the future.
