Arabic Halaqa: The Deterioration of the Arabic Language in News Coverage

Dr. Ali Hamdani was born in Baghdad, Iraq in 1979. He graduated from Baghdad School of Medicine with a B.A. in internal medicine and general surgery. Beginning in 2003, he worked in journalism and media covering the war in Iraq for The Times of London, ITN British channel, The New York Times, and NPR. Dr. Hamdani moved to the United States in 2010 and currently works for Duke International Patient Services while preparing for his US medical
license. His other interests include playing the Oud and reading poetry.
