To those not immersed in the field, medical terminology can seem like a foreign language and many health science topics can seem overwhelmingly complex. But where words fail, pictures often succeed. This seminar explores the field of medical illustration, and how medical illustrators are bridging the gap between science and art, between complexity and clarity, by utilizing the universal language of imagery to cross boundaries to educate and inform those within and beyond the health care field.
