Negotiations Ending the Cold War: A Presentation by Pavel Palazchenko

Join us as Duke University welcomes Pavel Palazchenko, a high-level interpreter who was the chief English Interpreter to President Mikhail Gorbachev and Soviet foreign minister, Eduar Shevardnadze from 1985-1991.

Palazchenko became the head of the International Department of the Non-Governmental Foundation for Socio-Economic and Political Studies, also known as The Gorbachev Foundation. He works there as an analyst, spokesperson, interpreter and translator.
