Clinical Data Research Networks (CDRNs) are groups of health care
delivery organizations that have agreed to aggregate their clinical data
to support clinical research. They enable the sharing of de-identified
data and with appropriate authorizations can provide more detailed data
sets. They can also facilitate finding research collaborators. CDRNs
allow researchers who use them to generalize findings across large
patient/stakeholder populations. Data from CDRNs can be used for
feasibility queries, observational and interventional studies.
Participation in CDRNs positions Duke to participate in major NIH studies
like the Precision Medicine Initiative.

Come hear how Duke's participation in CDRNs may be useful for social
science researchers.
