Improving Career Development for Master's Students [Registration required]

Discussion
Friday, May 18, 2018
3:00 pm - 4:30 pm

The Duke Career Center wants your help to improve the Master's student experience. It can be quite challenging to balance coursework, projects, and research with conducting internship and job searches. For some programs, it's even more challenging when recruiting begins at the start of the fall semester. During this discussion, we want to hear from Master's students and alums about the difficulties and successes you've had in exploring potential careers and applying for internships/jobs. We'd also like you to help us to design some solutions that could help improve the career development experience for current and future Master's students. *Light snacks and refreshments will be provided.

This session is open to current students and alums of Master's programs in The Duke Graduate School (excluding engineering programs), Divinity School, and Biostatistics Program in the School of Medicine. Email any questions to Dave McDonald, PhD (dave.mcdonald@duke.edu), Associate Director of Graduate Student Services at the Duke Career Center.
