About the lecture
In the context of epidemiologic, economic, and socio-political transitions, global health science also needs to evolve. Vedanthan will describe an evolving trans-disciplinary approach to global health science-one that combines analytics, action, and ambience.

Lunch will be provided. This event is part of Think Global, a weekly lecture series at the Duke Global Health Institute. It is free and open to the public. Parking for the event is available in the Duke Medicine Circle Parking Garage, located at 302 Trent Drive.

About the speaker
Rajesh Vedanthan is the Director of the Section for Global Health in the Department of Population Health at the New York University School of Medicine. He is Associate Professor in the Departments of Population Health and Medicine/Cardiology. His area of interest is implementation research, global health delivery, global cardiology, capacity-building, and the intersection of health and development.
