Dr. John Bartlett is Professor of Medicine, Global Health and Nursing, and DGHI Associate Director for Research. The KCMC-Duke Collaboration is a highly successful enterprise focused on research, educational and service missions. The Collaboration is supported by more than 20 Duke faculty, and numerous students, trainees and staff. Research efforts have been supported by six different NIH Institutes, private industry, and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Capacity building is a critical component of the Collaboration, with mutual benefit to both partners. The KCMC-Duke Collaboration may serve as a model for sustainable and diversified international partnerships.
