E-Discovery is the New Black

Event Image
Monday, November 20, 2017
12:30 pm - 1:30 pm

Just like that black suit, e-discovery is a basic tool that every lawyer needs in order to succeed. A mainstay practice of every litigation law firm, e-discovery is a highly sought-after skill in today's legal market. Successful lawyers know how e-discovery works, how to develop and implement effective discovery strategies, how to address challenging privacy and cyber security concerns, and how to manage vendors and service providers. During this lunch discussion, three partners from large law firms will discuss how they use e-discovery in litigation and how young associates can use e-discovery skills to distinguish themselves at their firms. Speakers include Robert Keeling, partner, Sidley Austin; Ben Barnett, partner, Dechert; Evan Benjamin, in-house technology administrator, Nelson Mullins; and Travis Bustamente, e-discovery attorney, Nelson Mullins. Lunch will be catered by Chick Fil A and is generously sponsored by Nelson Mullins & Sidley Austin. Event co-presented by the Duke Law Center for Judicial Studies, Duke EDRM, the Career Center, the Law & Technology Society, and the Business Law Society.
