Organ Recital: Robert Parkins performs Organ Music of the 17th Century

Works by Frescobaldi, Correa de Arauxo, Pachelbel, Buxtehude, Cabanilles, and Grigny, performed on the Brombaugh and Flentrop organs. This concert, which is free and open to the public, is presented as part of the Society of Seventeenth-Century Music Conference 2019. Dr. Robert Parkins is the University Organist and a Professor of the Practice of Music at Duke. His recordings have appeared on the Calcante, Gothic, Musical Heritage Society, and Naxos labels, and his performances have been described as "fresh and spontaneous, transforming the music from museum artifacts to living works of beauty" (The Diapason).
