Virtual Tour - Penny's Bend Nature Preserve

Penny's Bend is a remarkable 84-acre site supporting a rare collection of plants on a diabase soil and surrounded on three sides by the Eno River. Springtime lovelies include Dutchman's Breeches (Dicentra cucullaria), Southern or Dimpled Troutlily (Erythronium umbilicatum) and its northern counterpart (E. americanum) along with an abundance of other spring wildflowers. In this virtual tour with Dr. Paul Manos, Professor of Biology, and Dr. Alec Motten, associate professor emeritus, Duke University Department of Biology, you will enjoy the spring blossoms along with their insightful commentary.

Thursday, April 8, 3:30-4:30 p.m. Free to all with registration at https://rsvp.duke.edu/d/tjqw6w/. Duke Gardens, Duke University, Durham. gardens.duke.edu. 919-668-1707, gardenseducation@duke.edu.
