Ruby Fridays: Serving Life
RUBY FRIDAYS is a new series of casual art talks at the Rubenstein Arts Center, free lunch included! Speakers include Duke faculty and students who have produced work during a Rubenstein Arts Center arts project residency, as well as visiting artists and local NC creatives. Learn about the behind-the-scenes aspect of the creative process, careers in the arts, and more.
This fall, Duke Chapel is partnering with Hidden Voices, a local non-profit, to present an interactive installation created by men on death rows across the country-a community call and response between public audiences and the most hidden members of our society called Serving Life: ReVisioning Justice. The exhibit, which will be split between Duke Chapel and Gallery 235 in the Ruby, includes the men's Life Maps, large-scale artist renderings of elements from those maps, and Virtual Reality pieces.
Join the presenters to learn more about the work and the men behind it.
