Pain Management, Race, and Epistemic Credibility

Yolonda Wilson is assistant professor in the Department of Philosophy at Howard University. In this paper on bioethics and race, she considers ways that racial gaps in pain management are at least partially attributable to clinicians' assessment of how "credible" the complaint is and how race sometimes tracks credibility.
