Dr Sarah Kim is a fourth year psychiatry resident at Duke University in Durham, NC. She received her MD from Duke-NUS in Singapore, and her BS from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD. She served as Williams Ward Chief Resident in her third year, and participated in a 6-month long elective in New Zealand in her fourth year. Sarah will be commencing her geriatric psychiatry fellowship at Duke next month, with a special interest in dementia.
Dr. Veronica Hocker is a current fourth year psychiatry resident in Duke's Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. She graduated magna cum laude with a B.S. in neuroscience and behavior from Columbia University in the City of New York and obtained her medical degree from Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. While at Johns Hopkins, she pursued multiple interests ranging from participating in an exploration of compassionate care within a Healer's Art curriculum, pursuing a concentration in medical education, and developing an interest in women's health culminating in a qualitative project exploring media's portrayal of pregnancy under the mentorship of Dr. Jennifer Payne.
After graduation, Dr. Hocker is looking forward to traveling to Oregon to work at Unity Center for Behavioral Health in a faculty position as Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Oregon Health and Science University.
