Hsiao-Tzu Tien
Ruby Fridays

Drop by the Ruby on Friday at noon for a casual art talk and free lunch to learn about the behind-the-scenes aspect of the creative process, careers in the arts, and more.

Over the past five years, Hsiao-Tzu Tien has developed a series of performances that explore her fundamental artistic process in choreographing modern dance works: How can the human body express emotions and imagination? More than performances, her productions explore the psychophysical process in which emotions and feelings are generated and their direct connection with the materiality of the human body.

For her Ruby Friday presentation, Hsiao-Tzu will discuss her process and analyzes the connections between the production and her own personal experiences as a young Taiwanese female artist working both inside and outside of her culture.
