Clinic 1A Display Exhibit - Jake Goodnight Ceramics
Jake Goodnight is a student artist at NC State University. He began his work in ceramics through classes at Waterworks Visual Arts Center in his hometown of Salisbury NC where he received basic instruction from local artists. Once Jake arrived at NCSU, he was introduced to the University Crafts Center where he developed his skill in ceramics through a variety of classes and workshops. In his Sophomore year, Jake was hired as a student-instructor and began teaching introductory classes at the crafts center. For the previous three years, Jake has been learning, teaching and expanding his body of work incorporating screen printing, slip decoration, unusual forms, and eye catching glaze combinations. Works are both functional and beautiful.
All work is for sale and a portion of the proceeds support programming for patients at Duke University Hospital.
