7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Cultivate your garden from an ecological perspective in this online presentation from Neeti Bathala, professor, author, gardener and graduate of the Nicholas School of the Environment. Neeti will explore how to create a wildlife friendly habitat and promote biodiversity in your garden. Learn more about this approach from an ecosystem level; discussing your gardens biome, planting zone and the appropriate layers in a natural ecosystem. The class will also cover how to assess food and seasonality, water, cover, nesting, and amount of space needed to create an ecological garden that functions for you and your wildlife neighbors.

This class is co-sponsored by Triangle Land Conservancy, Ellerbe Creek Watershed Association, and Duke Gardens. Please register through the Duke Gardens Cvent website. Following registration, you will receive an email confirmation with the Zoom link, and a Zoom session recording will be sent to all registrants afterward.

Fee: $15; 20% discount for Gardens members with seasonal member discount code, as well as for TLC members and Ellerbe Creek members at registration. Registration is at https://duke.is/rpm3m. Information: 919-668-1707, gardenseducation@duke.edu
