From Policy to Practice: Addressing Latinx Mental Health Disparities at All Levels

Dr. Margarita Alegria, Chief, Disparities Research Unit, Massachusetts General Hospital, Professor, Departments of Medicine and Psychiatry, Harvard Medical School, will lay the groundwork for understanding the complex factors contributing to mental health disparities for the Latinx community, highlighting the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.

She will then share findings from her NIH-funded clinical trials testing interventions to improve mental health and substance use outcomes for the Latinx population across several care settings.

Dr. Alegria will offer recommendations for needed change across multiple levels to achieve health equity.

This hybrid event will take place in the Christine Pearson Building, Rm 1014 and via Zoom.
