Davoud Mozhdehi, PhD
Postdoc Practice Job Talk

The Duke University Postdoc Association (DUPA) and the Office of Postdoctoral Services provide postdocs the opportunity to practice their job talks and get valuable feedback from a diverse and intelligent audience - this means YOU! If you are interested in giving a practice job talk, please e-mail Ashley and Will (see below).

On Jan 9 at 10:00 am, Davoud Mozhdehi from the Research Triangle MRSEC will present his talk on "Harnessing the Power of Supramolecular Chemistry and Post-Translational Modifications for Bioinspired Materials Science" (abstract below). We encourage postdocs to attend and support Davoud by providing feedback! You don't have to be in the same field of study; presenters receive valuable info from audience members about clarity, communication style, and other 'big picture' issues.
Title and Abstract: Harnessing the Power of Supramolecular Chemistry and Post-Translational Modifications for Bioinspired Materials Science
Biological systems are a dazzling source of inspiration for improving the structure, hierarchical assembly, and functionality of traditional synthetic polymers. In this talk, I will describe efforts to translate some of these concepts from the world of biology into realms of materials science using molecular biomimicry to create novel functional materials from synthetic- and peptide-based polymers.
