BURGER KING®, TIM HORTONS®, and POPEYES® are truly iconic brands. But Restaurant Brands International itself is relatively new. Burger King Corporation was acquired by the Brazilian private equity firm, 3G Capital Partners, in October 2010. Burger King Corporation then acquired Tim Hortons Inc. in December 2014 and they combined to form Restaurant Brands International. We are an industry leader with more than $27 billion in system sales* and over 23,000 restaurants in nearly 100 countries and US territories. It all makes this an exciting place to be. RBI is dynamic, inventive, entrepreneurial and never afraid to take risks. We are growing fast, thinking even faster and constantly exploring new opportunities.
