Medicine and Engineering Intersection: Personalization of Airway Stents
Dr. George Cheng is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Duke University. He completed his MD and PhD studies at Mount Sinai School of Medicine. He subsequently completed his internal medicine and interventional pulmonary training programs at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. He completed his pulmonary critical core training at Harvard University. Dr. Cheng graduated from Duke in 2002 with a degree in Biochemistry and Computer Science.
Dr. Cheng has been focusing on projects in interventional pulmonology involving both pleural and airway disease processes, specifically involving 3D printed personalization of stents.
The Genomic and Precision Medicine weekly forum is open to students, faculty, and staff across the Duke University campus and is held on Thursdays, 12pm - 1pm.
