Small talk is not just the idle conversations you make with the stranger sitting next to you on a plane. It is also a strong indicator to an employer that you will fit into their work environment. In this way, small talk is an essential career skill that is important at networking events and during interviews. If small talk makes you nervous or you are unsure what to talk about, come to this lab to learn how to approach the conversation and practice in a low-pressure environment.
