Nicholas L. Syrett is Professor and Chair of Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at the University of Kansas. He is a co-editor of Age in America: The Colonial Era to the Present (NYU, 2015) and the author of three books: The Company He Keeps: A History of White College Fraternities (UNC, 2009), American Child Bride: A History of Minors and Marriage in the United States (UNC, 2016), and the forthcoming Intimate Relations: The Family Story of Robert and John Gregg Allerton (Chicago).
